The MC110CS is a media converter used to convert a signal and then connect a 100BASE-FX fiber optic cable to a 100Base-TX twisted pair cable and vice versa. Designed specifically for the IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC110CS media converter is designed for use with SC multimode fiber optic cable. When transmitting and receiving data, the converter operates at a wavelength of 1310 nm and belongs to the class of devices that use a long-wavelength laser (LX) when transmitting at maximum speed. Other features of this unit include the ability to use the media converter as a standalone product (the MC110CS does not require a mounting chassis) or in conjunction with a 19´´ TP-LINK chassis with Auto MDI/MDI-X support and auto-negotiation in duplex mode for the TX port and equipped with LED status indicators. The MC110CS extends the fiber link up to 20 km using single-mode fiber.
