C9200-STACK-KIT is a stacking kit for only Cisco C9200 modular switches (for 24 and 48 ports), consisting of a cable and 2 modules. Bandwidth The C9200-STACK-KIT delivers 160Gbps of stack bandwidth, delivering high levels of performance and optimal speed to keep your mission-critical applications running smoothly. Cisco StackWise-160 Technology The Catalyst 9200 Series Modular Switches support the optional C9200-STACK-KIT stacking module, which is based on Cisco StackWise-160 technology. This technology uses the Cisco IOS SSO software. The stack is a single mechanism controlled by an "active" switch. This switch automatically selects the redundant switch among other switches in the stack. The "active" switch initiates and updates all switch/routing/wireless network data and systematically synchronizes this data through the standby switch. If communication with the "active" switch fails, the backup switch becomes "active" and performs the operation of other devices from the stack. Access points remain on the stack during these changes. A functioning stack can add new devices or remove unnecessary ones without interrupting the established connection. StackWise-80 creates a complete single IP management system with up to nine switches. Ease of Use The C9200-STACK-KIT provides a wired connection for a stack of switches. With a long enough cable (48.7 cm), the placement of stackable switches becomes even more convenient for the user.
