The DGE-560SX/D high-performance Gigabit Ethernet network adapter for the PCI Express D-Link bus is an evolution of the well-established DGE-560SX/LC model. The main advantage of the updated DGE-560SX/D adapter is a hot-pluggable interface that allows you to use various scenarios for building a network infrastructure and provide a given transmission range from 550 m to 80 km (depending on the installed SFP transceiver). The DGE-560SX/D supports data rates up to 2 Gb/s over fiber optic cable in full duplex mode, thus eliminating the bottleneck that exists in 32/64-bit PCI bus architectures. 802.1Q Tagging VLAN Support The DGE-560SX/D supports built-in 802.1Q VLAN tagged Ethernet frame filtering, allowing you to create multiple subnets for each server and isolate the devices within each VLAN from the rest of the network for improved security and traffic management. Saving Power The DGE-560SX/D supports a power saving mode on the network. The adapter complies with the IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet standard, which automatically reduces power consumption when there is no data flow. Advanced Features With features such as 802.3x flow control and jumbo frame, the DGE-560SX/D can easily interface with existing network equipment. The DGE-560SX/D also supports 802.1p traffic prioritization.
