The SFP-SX SFP transceiver is designed to connect Ethernet switches and DSLAMs equipped with an SFP slot to Gigabit Ethernet networks. It allows data transmission over 1000 Mbps multi-mode fiber optic cable over distances up to 550 m. Full compliance with industry standard SFP transceivers and IEEE 802.1z guarantees compatibility with third-party equipment that meets the same requirements.

The SFP transceiver is compact and hot swappable. In the included switch, such a transceiver can be replaced or added without stopping the operation of the entire network.

Support for digital diagnostic technology DDMI (Digital Diagnostics Monitoring Interface) allows you to monitor the operation parameters of the SFP transceiver in real time, such as operating temperature, supply voltage, laser current deviation, emitted optical power, received optical power. This enables network administrators to monitor elements, determine the source of failure, and predict failure of the SFP transceiver.
